Sustainable Solutions for Thriving Farms and Gardens

We purchased a ten-year-old Wild Birds Unlimited franchise store a year ago. Shortly after we purchased the store, Cheryl reached out to see if we were interested in purchasing mealworms from her, but at that time we calculated the costs to be equivalent to our existing source so we declined. Our customers who feed mealworms to their Buick’s Wrens, Hooded Orioles, Western Bluebirds, and many other insectivorous species had become accustomed to a certain quality and availability of mealworms that we sourced locally. Recently the quality and availability from this vendor had fallen off while their delivery charges and unit prices had increased. We learned that Cheryl was now leading Kirkos and reached out to see if a change would make sense. We are so glad we did! We are so happy with the mealworms we’ve received from Kirkos. The improvement in quality over our previous vendor, even at their best, is clearly noticeable and so much more cost-effective. We couldn’t be happier with Kirkos and are really looking forward to the coming spring and summer when our customers will enjoy feeding some incredibly beautiful mealworms to their backyard birds!
